We focus on the development and implementation of quantum algorithms for science, research, and industry. We bridge theoretical and experimental research in quantum materials with quantum computing. Furthermore, we apply these computational methods to optimization, machine learning, and finance. We also foster comprehensive educational and outreach activities in quantum technologies.

QUANTUM COMPUTING AND SIMULATION CENTRE - QCS

We are a centre for quantum computing and simulation focused on the research, development, and practical application of quantum algorithms and technologies.

• Developing and implementing new quantum algorithms and applications
• Quantum computing of electronic structures and quantum materials
• Applying quantum computing to optimization, machine learning, and finance
• Educational and outreach activities for both expert audiences and the general public
• Collaborating on and utilizing state-of-the-art IBM quantum infrastructure (within the Quantum Innovation Centre) and VLQ Ostrava
