BY-CZ-38 - Virtual model for prevention, therapy, and rehabilitation of shoulder complex pathologies

Program for cross-border cooperation of Free State of Bavaria – Czech Republic, „Cíl EÚS" 2014 – 2020, 1. 10. 2016 – 31. 9. 2019, project no. 38.

Cooperation:

Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule Regensburg, New Technologies - UWB Research Center (HBM Research Team), UWB Faculty of Applied Sciences (KKY) and ARTOS Gemeinschaftspraxis

Goals:

The main aim of this project is to find new methods of prevention, diagnosis, therapy, and rehabilitation of shoulder complex pathologies. The optimal procedures will be evaluated based on simulations using the virtual musculoskeletal human body model. The model will be scalable and thus, it will be easily adaptable to every patient.  Except for the main aims, the project plans next results such as a cross-border consortium, the optimization algorithm using the muscle activity for biomechanical computation, the semiautomatic toll for MRI recognition, etc. The results were presented through papers at international conferences, workshops and publications in scientific journals.
