Goals:

The Bavarian-Czech border region suffers from an uneven distribution of medical and therapeutic care concentrated in large cities. Different procedures and standards of care in both regions require cross-border cooperation of an interdisciplinary team of doctors, therapists, engineers and designers in the field of healthcare. The project aims to increase awareness and develop personalized and effective prevention of pelvic floor disorders, which up to 40% of women will encounter during their lifetime. The project primarily focuses on healthy women aged 18–45. Other target groups include students of medicine, healthcare studies and industrial design, teachers and educators, physiotherapists and gynecologists, research and educational organizations and small and medium-sized enterprises. The goal of the project is the development and implementation of a modular non-invasive system for the prevention of pelvic floor disorders in order to improve individual quality of life and reduce the burden on the healthcare system. The developed technology will be presented to the target groups as a functional prototype.
